Rita needs your help and she’s desperate.

Recapping the journey, Rita is married to Carmine and they have a son named Michael, Rita was born in Canada and her background is Italian from the Region of Bari. She desperately needs your help. Rita was diagnosed with Leukemia in June 2007. She went through chemotherapy and was in remission. Unfortunately we got word that the leukemia has come back and the only cure for her is a bone marrow transplant and her siblings were not a match for Rita.

Rita is back in the hospital for more chemotherapy and if this does not work, her chances of surviving past 6 months are unlikely.

Rita is on a worldwide registry with over 11 million donors available and none of these are a match for Rita.

We need people to register IMMEDIATELY. Please inform all your friends, colleagues, clients, etc and ask them to keep this message going. Her chances of survival depend totally on everyone who reads this message. The procedure is now so simple, register on line, and within a few weeks the Canadian Blood Services will call you to confirm your mailing address. A package comes in the mail and you provide a mouth swab and return it in the prepaid envelope. IT’S THAT SIMPLE!!!!

So, please, please, please log onto www.onematch.ca and register yourself as a donor. Over 70% of bone marrow recipients get a match from someone other than a relative, so as the commercial says, it is in you to give.
