Think about it. We are water apes. After the creation of the rift valley, the subsequent change of habitat from jungle to savanah forced a significant evolutionary change, bipedalism, which shaped our destiny from that time forward.

Now consider life on the savanah, a complete lack of protective cover, no secure place, no caves, the only thing, water, which you need and which allows you to escape from land predators, and eventually leads you to the ocean, where you discover sea food and your brain begins to grow and you start to make your way around the world.

Why do we vacation at the beach, put swimming pools in our backyards and communities? Because it's part of our natural habitat. It is an important aspect of our evolution.
